Perenco is pleased to announce the acquisition of a 70% interest in the Teak, Samaan and Poui Block (“TSP”) in Trinidad and Tobago. The interest in the fields, located offshore south east of Trinidad, has been bought from Repsol E&P T&T Ltd, a subsidiary of Repsol SA, the Spanish integrated global energy company. Perenco will be operator of the TSP assets, where current production is in the region of 14 000 bopd barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The capacity of Perenco to operate mature fields and enhance economical production in a low oil price environment was well received by the local authorities and the TSP Partners. The completion of this acquisition opens the door to future collaborations and opportunities in Trinidad & Tobago.
Commenting on today’s announcement, Perenco’s CEO, Benoît de la Fouchardiere, said:

Yaoundé, Cameroon, 27th November, 2015 - Gazprom Marketing & Trading Singapore Pte Ltd (“GM&TS”), Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures (“SNH”), Perenco Cameroon S.A. (“PERCAM”), Golar Hilli and Golar Cameroon (“GOLAR”) are pleased to announce the signing of an eight year floating liquefied natural gas project, off the coast of Kribi, Cameroon.
The project is based on the allocation of 500 BCF of natural gas reserves to be supplied by SNH and PERCAM from the Sanaga Sud and Ebome fields. The FLNG Terminal will be owned and operated by GOLAR via its “Hilli” FLNG vessel currently under conversion at the Keppel Shipyard in Singapore. First LNG deliveries from the terminal are scheduled to commence during the second half of 2017.
Following an international tender GM&TS has been awarded this 1.2 million tonnes per annum FOB LNG sales contract and will be the sole off-taker from the FLNG terminal.
On the basis of the foregoing, SNH and Perenco Cameroon are happy to announce the Final Investment Decision (“FID”) for the FLNG project.
The project represents an outstanding industry initiative bringing off-shore liquefaction solutions to monetize previously unexploited or marginal natural gas accumulations. Commercial innovations and optimisations in the upstream, mid-stream and downstream value chain have been decisive elements leading to the FLNG Project’s FID.

More..The buoy of the Terminal Fernan Vaz for the North Offshore area in Gabon was used for its first lifting on July 21st 2015. Mooring and lifting operations were successfully completed by the terminal team who loaded 752.588 net bbl. This new terminal feature is a significant upgrade of the terminal capacity as it now allows the berthing of Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) tankers of up to 325.000 dead weight tonnage. This capacity covers the entire current world tanker fleet, either in first or second ports of call. This will make the Asian market accessible to the Oguendjo Blend grade and enlarge competition for crude sales. The new buoy replaces the bow-to-bow previous berthing method and will reduce mooring risks at the terminal. This project involved mooring installation, second hand buoy purchase and retrofit in Australia, laying of 2 km 30’’ pipeline with concrete coating, two PLEM installations by Perenco diving teams, and subsea hose connections and testing in 30 m of water depth.

More..On the 1st of July, the latest well on the Sư Tử Nâu (“Brown Lion”) field, SNS-5AP, was put on stream and is now flowing at a production rate of around 1,500 bopd with less than 2% watercut, with just 350 psi drawdown applied to the reservoir. A simplified well design with a single phase from surface casing to Total Depth allowed the well to be delivered 10 days ahead of schedule, 26 days after spud. The addition of the Oligocene E-sequence reservoir production, just nine months after start-up of the Basement reservoir, required the absolute dedication and commitment of the Perenco team, in order to push through the development of this new reservoir. The Basement development wells were logged over the E-sequence in 2014, and it was apparent that a better reservoir was located at the SNS-1P & 2P locations, compared to the SN-3X well which was tested back in June 2010. The SNS-5AP well was then designed to target the better sands. A staged ramp-up is planned for the well following data acquisition operations. Once ramped up, oil production is expected to exceed 4,000 bopd. The reservoir will be evaluated over the coming weeks and months and the forward plan for additional well(s) will be firmed up, hopefully starting with SNS-6P in 2016. The future looks good for Sư Tử Nâu E-sequence, with available infrastructure and P50 oil-in-place of close to 70MMbbls.

More..Perenco UK is pleased to announce that the Leman 53/02a-15y well, drilled Sept-Oct 2014 as a subsea development well 7 km to the south-west of the Leman 27H platform, was brought online on 27th February 2015, producing at a controlled rate of 45 mmscf/day. The well confirmed the western extension of the Leman South field which holds between 70 and 90 bcf of dry gas. After the Leman well, a 1,000 m long sub-horizontal platform well was drilled in the south-eastern portion of the Hoton field. This area had not been developed by the previous operator. The new Hoton well encountered some fractures but the majority of the reservoir penetration was low porosity but at virgin reservoir pressure, it flowed at 10 mmscf/d on an 80/64” choke during clean-up and can be brought online through existing facilities. This eight month drilling campaign is a significant success for Perenco UK and accesses previously-undeveloped gas resources. The success of these recent wells demonstrates the continued prospectivity of our core North Sea complex and paves the way for the next phase of development of tight gas fields such as Ravenspurn North and South.

More..On Monday August 25th 2014, a ceremony was organized at Iquitos Marine Base to celebrate the return of the BAP Pastaza from her 4th river trip (of 40 days) – where she accomplished her 100 000th medical attention since the startup of the program in November 2009.
At this occasion commemorative trophy was remitted to two crew members onboard the program since the initial days – one mechanic from the navy and one Doctor Assistant from the medical crew. Five years after its implementation the program is still receiving a very high level of attention from local authorities, Social and Health public Services and the Peruvian Marine.
After her next trip starting mid-September, the boat – which medical facilities and maintenance are managed by Perenco - is planned to enter for short dry dock in Iquitos in view of resuming her duties at the end of the year.

In front of an assembly of 100 people -most of whom were experts and researchers in Mines and Hydrocarbons - Benjamin Safari, production geologist for Perenco in the DRC presented "The Geological Characteristics of the Coastal Basin". It was a simplified and well illustrated presentation which gave Perenco's expert the opportunity to enlighten the scientists on the subject of the mature fields of this basin, and on the expertise developed by the oil company established in Muanda to make these fields profitable.
The five research days of MGRC have been organised under the theme "non-renewable raw materials: geological knowledge, technology and sustainable development", with a three-fold objective, namely: giving researchers the opportunity to present the results of their research to their peers, offer a platform to the geologists to exchange views on their respective sectors/areas and finally to enable researchers to focus on and discover new directions.
